Office Staple: The Wrap Dress

Nothing says professional style like the classic wrap dress. Both comfortable and easy to dress up or down, pair a wrap dress with heels or pointed flats. One tip: if you can, try on a wrap dress before purchasing to find your correct size, or else the dress may expose a little more cleavage than you might want.

While Diane von Furstenburg takes the cake with this floral wrap dress, less expensive options also almost always have the classic wrap dress in stock.

Beauty Break: Hand Cream to Keep at Your Office

With the A/C running in the summer, and the heater running in the winter, is it any wonder my hands get dry? I always keep hand cream available at my desk. Although it's labelled hand cream, I can also use it as moisturizer for my legs and arms if I'm feeling particularly dry.

A current favorite is L'Occitane shea butter hand cream, which feels luxurious and smells wonderful (and not too overpowering). At $12 a tube, it's not the cheapest option, but it lasts a surprisingly long time for such a small tube.

The Navy Blue Work Bag

I'm currently in love with navy blue leather, and most definitely lusting after a navy blue handbag for work. Although I love small crossbody bags for the weekend, my work bag personally needs to be able to fit a file, my phone, a light cardigan, my keys, and a small makeup bag. While the Givenchy is just a dream, the others are relatively affordable leather options that may just satisfy this navy blue loving gal.

Fit and Flare for the Office

For a dress that works for the office and for your upcoming holiday parties, this Gabby Skye dress fills the spot.

I'm currently loving the fit and flare silhouette, especially in this ponte material, which is perfect for chillier weather. Plus, the white, gray, and black pattern makes it perfect to layer over tights. And if you need another reason to love it, it's on sale right now with free shipping.

Birthday Gift Guide: The Beauty Junkie

Beauty products are one of my favorite gifts to give - and receive. For that one friend or relative who loves her beauty products, here are some tried and true favorites.

Office Style: For Days You Don't Want to Wear Heels

We all have those days where heels are just not an option. These bow-back flats from Cole Haan are polished and comfortable, with a stylish bow on the back to add just the right amount of detail. Personally, I think Cole Haan shoes are very comfortable, and at $82.32, these genuine leather ballet flats are a steal.

Office Style: Wave Print Dress

With fall coming up soon, I'm digging the 3/4 length sleeves and belted silhouette of this black and white Donna Morgan wave print dress, on sale now for $88.50. The high neckline forgives the more flowy skirt (which thoughtfully hides any post-lunch food belly) while the skinny belt gives the dress a bit more cinch high on the waist. I would definitely pair this with a nude or colorful pump!

Beauty Break: Tinted Lip Butter

A favorite office-appropriate beauty product at the moment is Korres tinted lip butter. It gives the right amount of subtle color and shine and keep your lips moisturized, but doesn't go overboard. And can I just say that they smell delicious? I'm currently a little obsessed with Quince and Pomegranate, but it comes in other flavors and colors to suit your choice of lip tint.

Outfit: Black and White + Bold and Bright

I love the idea of mixing a simple, classic black and white office outfit with just one or two accessories that will really make you stand out. It's a nice way to add a bright and personal touch to an otherwise plain black and white office outfit.

The two bright pieces featured here are the Kate Spade NY Plaza Athenee Necklace ($128) and the Modcloth Statement to Be Clutch ($40).
